Terramycin Eye Ointment contains oxytetracycline hydrochloride and polymyxin B sulfate, two antibiotics that work together to treat certain bacterial eye infections. Applied directly to the affected eye, it helps stop bacterial growth while limiting exposure to the rest of the body. Some people may experience temporary blurred vision, mild stinging, eye irritation, or sensitivity to light immediately after application, but these effects are usually short-lived. To reduce the risk of contamination, avoid letting the tip of the tube touch your eye, eyelids, or any surface. If symptoms worsen, persist, or vision changes continue, seek medical advice promptly.

The usual dose is a small ribbon of ointment applied to the affected eye(s) 2 to 4 times daily, or as directed by your doctor. Continue using the ointment for the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve earlier.
