The coronavirus disease, officially known as SARS-CoV-2 infection or more widely known as Covid, is an extremely contagious infection of the respiratory tract. Vaccination for Covid has been proven to work to prevent severity of infection and curb the rate of infection. The Sinovac vaccine works by exposing the body's immune system to dead viral particles to trigger an immune response without causing the disease. It has an efficacy rate of 100% in reducing the risk of covid related hospitalizations and death.

The vaccine is administered in 2 doses, given at an interval of 3 weeks. It is strongly recommended for everyone over the age of 5 who have not received their covid vaccination yet. It is especially required for people with compromised immune systems or with underlying health conditions, as they are highly susceptible to infection and are at great risk of developing Covid related complications.
